- Will you please make me a __________? (layout, siggie, etc.)
I'm not taking requests for custom layouts at this time. I am, however, making siggies and avatars. Please see my Marasite for details.
- How do I make a layout?
Layouts are made using HTML. If you don't know HTML, please take a look at my HTML Tutorial.
- How do I add __________ to my site?
If you're looking for HTML help, please take a look at my HTML Tutorial. If you still have questions after that, please Maramail me and I'll do my best to help you out. If you're looking for Dolls, Blobs or glitter signatures, please read on.
- Where can I make my own Dolls?
You can build your own dolls at eLouai. When you are finished, you can download it to your computer and then upload it to your MaraUploads for use anywhere on Marapets.
- Where can I get my own Blob?
You can "adopt" your own Blob at Spacefem.com.
- Where can I make my own Glitter Signature?
You can create your own glitter signature at Glittermaker.com and then either use the code that's generated or save the image to your computer and upload it to your MaraUploads.
- How do I add scrollbars to my site/club?
I've just recently added a new section to my HTML tutorial that covers everything you need to know about scrollbars.
- How do I change the font in my profile or signature?
To change the color of your text use this code: [color=#FF0000]Your text here[/color]. To change the font size use this code: [size=12]Your text here[/size].
- How do I add an image to my profile?
First go to your profile and click on "Edit Profile". In the box provided, use this code to add an image: [img]http://marauploads.com/image.jpg[/img]. PLEASE NOTE: Marauploads is currently down for maintenance so please see the Tips and Tricks page for the code to get around it.
- How do I add an image to my siggy?
First click on "Forums" then click "Update Forum Signature". In the box provided, use this code to add an image: [img]http://marauploads.com/image.jpg[/img] PLEASE NOTE: Marauploads is currently down for maintenance so please see the Tips and Tricks page for the code to get around it.
- May I use one of your __________ (layouts, graphics, etc.) on my site/club?
By all means, YES! Please feel free to use the layouts, graphics, backgrounds and siggies available here. All I ask is that you not steal credit for my work.
- Will you give/trade me one of your pets?
I'm very attached to all my pets as most of them are named after my real-life cats. (More information about my real-life cats can be found here.) So, at this time I'm not doing any pet trading or selling. Should I change my mind I'll make an announcement in my Blog.
- Will you join my club?
No. I'm the leader of a great club called *Mara Stars* and everyone is welcome to join.
- How old are you really?
Probably older than you. I'm an adult member and that's all I'll say about my age.
- My browser doesn't have the "Save Image As" option when I right-click on an image. What do I do?
Different browsers will have different options when it comes to this type of thing. Look at the options listed and use your best judgement as to which one will save the image for you. Some say "Save Image As" while others say "Save Picture As". If you still can't figure it out, please Maramail me and I'll do my best to help you.
- My browser doesn't have the "Copy Shortcut" option which I right-click on a link. What do I do? As with the previous question, different browsers will have different options when it comes to the right-click menu. Some will say "Copy Shortcut" while others will say "Copy Link Location". Use your best judgement and, if you have any questions, Maramail me for help.
- What graphics program(s) do you use to make your graphics?
I use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady and GIMP.
- What program do you use to write your code?
I write all my code out by hand using Notepad. No, really. =)
- How do I become Staff?
Marapets Staff members are selected personally by Ian, the creator of the site. He looks for things like how long you've been on the site, how knowledgeable and helpful you are, etc.
